Loving Son, Brother, Grandson and Nephew

Obituary

Nienas, Leo X.

Leo peacefully passed away at his home and entered into the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, December 28th, 2018 at the tender age of 16. Survived by his devoted parents Diane and Tony, adoring brothers Matthew (Valerie), Trent, and Oliver Nienas. Treasured by his Grandma Alice Nettesheim. Dear nephew of Terry (Rick) Helman, Diana Nettesheim, Colleen (Mark) Hoover, Allan Nettesheim, Dean (Debbie) Nettesheim, Kathy (Rick) Boerst, Jill (Paul) Pichler, Lisa (Randy) Heinritz, David (Francine) Nettesheim, Gary (Wanda) Nettesheim, Nancy (Geno) Kasprzak, Laure (Mark) Schwalbe, Kari (Jamie) Bloedow. Cherished by 31 cousins 13 second cousins. Gone before Leo is his ever loving Grandpa William Nettesheim, his Aunt Patty, Uncle Glenn Nettesheim, and cousin Jason. Also preceded in death by his great grandparents, Myra and Clarence Kannenberg, Lance and Doretta Nettesheim.

Leo was born and raised in Waukesha and had the ability to captivate people with his bright smile and draw them in with his warm sparkling brown eyes. He was a former student of Summit View Elementary, Butler Middle School and currently was a home bound student of Waukesha West High School. Leo had a pure love for life and despite his ever failing body, his mind was filled with the love of God. Leo embraced all the joys of life and loved trains, fire trucks, school buses, nature, listening to stories, collecting watches, and dollar bills. He taught other's how to love and on a daily basis fought through pain and did it without complaining. Leo was truly a gift of God and would tell us of his communication with Jesus when family members needed that guidance and faith. With the passing of family members, Leo would tell us the color of their Angel wings. During some of his own struggles, he tried to assure us that Jesus would welcome him and that the color of his Angel wings would be red, his favorite color.
